The Mirabilis non-alcoholic fruit cocktail is a fresh and refreshing cocktail , absolutely perfect for the summer! cocktailanalcolic

  • 1 cup pineapple juice<br /><br />
  • 1 cup Orange juice<br /><br />
  • 1/4 cup sugar cane<br /><br />
  • 1 cup tonic water<br /><br />
  • pineapple slices<br /><br />
  • half orange<br /><br />
  • a bunch of peppermint<br /><br />
  • ice cubes<br /><br />
  • Peppermint leaflets for the final decoration<br /><br />
  1. First take 2 slices of pineapple and proceed to cut them into small pieces. Then we take half an orange (preferably organic) and proceed to open it in wedges, being careful to keep the peel aside.

  2. Once this is done, put 400 ml of pineapple juice in a large enough carafe, to which we add 400 ml of orange juice and 2 tablespoons of cane sugar. We then proceed to stir vigorously. 

  3. At this point, we add 6 sprigs of peppermint, pineapple cut into small pieces and previously prepared orange segments. We just have to cover with a film and then put it in the fridge to macerate for a period of minimum 2 hours, but not more than 5 hours. 

  4. After 2 hours of maceration in the refrigerator, we add 100 ml of iced tonic water to the cocktail , then mix well. 

  5. transfer the Mirabilis non-alcoholic fruit cocktailin a classic low tumbler, then add a couple of ice cubes and decorate with a couple of peppermint leaves and a few colorful umbrellas. At this point, we serve!

The preparation of the Mirabilis non-alcoholic fruit cocktail , it takes at least 2 hours of maceration and rest in the refrigerator with fruit and mint, so this is a cocktail to prepare at least half a day in advance, compared to when you intend to serve it.

Pink Marble Meringues Recipe – My Food Book

  • 8 large egg whites
  • 2 cups caster sugar
  • Pink Food Colouring
  • Wooden Skewer
  1. We made this recipe using the Breville Bakery Boss® Stand Mixer.

    Pre-heat oven to 150°C (130°C fan forced). Place egg whites into Glass Bakery Boss Mixing Bowl. Using the BALLON WHISK, whisk the egg whites on the AERATING/WHIPPING setting, until they have doubled in volume and hold a peak

    Add sugar a tablespoon at a time, ensuring that it incorporates completely before adding the next. Whisk until egg whites are glossy

    Place meringue mixture into 4-5 circles on a baking paper covered oven tray. Repeat using a separate baking tray until mixture is used up

    Using a tablespoon, shape the meringues using a swirling motion

    Dip skewer into food coloring and gently swirl pink dye into each meringue to create a marble effect. Using the back of a tablespoon, continue to swirl dye, to create a more blended effect

    Place meringues in the oven. Bake for approx. 1 hour* until they are crisp, lift off the paper easily and make a hollow sound when tapped. Leave in the oven with door slightly opened, to cool completely (about 1 hour – 1 hour 30 minutes). Serve

1. Ensure your bowl and utensils are dry and sparkling clean

Any moisture including possible residue from a previous recipe, will cause a chemical reaction with your egg whites. By ensuring you have very clean equipment, the egg whites will be able to perform at their best.

2. Control your oven temperature

It’s no secret that our oven temperature can be uneven. Not only will most conventional ovens have warmer and cooler zones, but some do not necessarily heat to the temperature you set. The best way to understand your oven is by purchasing an internal oven thermometer. These can be found at most kitchenware stores.

Also, make sure to not cook other dishes whilst cooking your meringues. This will also have a major effect on your result.

3.  Use a good-quality stand mixer

In a good-quality mixer, you can make light work of perfect meringue peaks.

4. Let your meringues cool in the oven

To avoid your meringues cracking, and sinking in their middle – let them cool for 1 hour in the oven.

Strawberry Champagne Popsicle

This strawberry champagne popsicle recipe uses a little bit of bubbly to add an extra pop to an ordinary strawberry Popsicle recipe. It’s a fun, frozen way to celebrate great ingredients. The Spruce Eats

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 pint ripe strawberries
  • 2/3 cup champagne
  1. Place the sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir the water until the sugar has completely dissolved. Turn off the heat. Dissolving the sugar has created a syrup, which will ensure that the popsicles have a smooth texture.
  3. Remove the green tops from the strawberries.
  4. Puree your strawberries in a blender until they are completely smooth.

  5. Stir the sugar syrup, strawberries, and champagne. Use a whisk to ensure that the ingredients are completely mixed.
  6. Fill your popsicle molds and freeze the mixture until it is completely solid. This will probably take at least two hours.
  7. Unmold and enjoy, so long as you are over 21 years old!
  • If strawberries aren’t in season, use frozen strawberries for this recipe. Defrost them so that you can puree and mix them with the other ingredients, but otherwise, they are every bit as good.
  • The recipe doesn’t call for straining the puree, but if you don’t want the seeds in your final product, run it through a sieve. Alternatively, leave your strawberries a little rougher and keep some pea-sized pieces of strawberries. These will be delicious once your Popsicles freeze.
